It's been known for a while now that the title of the fifth instalment of the Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. series would be called The Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. Who Went Out In The Cold, but this is the first look at the cover artwork.
The book, which takes up the story of Agent Ward shortly after his dismissal from the Agency, is scheduled for release in early January of 2014.
As well as Agent Ward, other characters from the series are slated to appear in a globe-trotting story taking in locations in South America, Asia, Australasia and Europe.
The question is whether, without the protection of the Agency, Ward will continue to be the hunter or become the hunted. There are, after all, an awful lot of people, and things, out there that have reason not to like him too much.
Perhaps more worrying is the question of just how much chaos can Ward himself wreak when the rules of the Agency no longer apply to him?
Early word is that fans of the series will not be disappointed.
The nights are drawing in and it's nearly time for a couple of U.N.D.E.A.D. short stories to hit the kindle.
Bringing to a close the series of short stories to commemorate dates throughout the year, a double bill of Agent Ward goodness is due out at the beginning of October in plenty of time for Halloween and Bonfire night.
In THE HAUNTING OF THE MAN FROM U.N.D.E.A.D., Agent Ward visits Hillock House, location of a series of unexplained and supernatural events. With only his wits and an electrical engineer on his side can he find out what walks alone there before it does something unexplained and supernatural to him?
Then, in REMEMBER, REMEMBER, THE MAN FROM U.N.D.E.A.D.'S NOVEMBER, Ward is on the trail of a particularly stinky series of murders that just might threaten the whole of the City of London.
The double bill is to be called THE MAN FROM U.N.D.E.A.D. - FRIGHTS AND FIREWORKS

This is the first time that a novel set within the Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. world will not feature the inestimable Agent Ward.
The cover has been designed to look very different to those of the Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. series, specifically to make the point that, though it shares the world and characters, it is a different style of book, though it should still appeal to fans of the series.
